Anna Jarota

Anna grew up in Poland and obtained a diploma in English philology and psychology from Lodz University. She left Lodz for Paris, where after having validated her Polish diploma in psychology at La Sorbonne University, she started working as a bookseller. It totally converted her into book business. She moved to London where she worked as an agent at Andrew Nurnberg Associates, then as a foreign rights director at XO Editions. She later moved to Paris to set up the agency in 2008. In 2014, she decided to expand and open an office in Warsaw.

Dominika Bojanowska

Dominika graduated from Warsaw University with an M.A. in English literature and linguistics. Always a bookworm, she was drawn very early to the publishing world and worked for seven years for a literary agency, Graal, handling both Polish and Eastern European rights for major American, British, Canadian and Australian literary agencies and publishing houses. She decided to join AJA in 2014 as the director of the Warsaw office.

Zuzanna Brzezinska

Zuzanna grew up between London and Paris, studied in International Law between Essex University in the UK and LUISS University in Rome. She worked alongside AJA’s Parisian contingent, after working for several publishing houses in Paris (Editions des Deux Terres and XO/Oh! Editions). She took some time off from her pursuits in publishing to graduate with an MA in Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African studies, and to travel accross the Americas (with a backpack full of books). She joined the Warsaw team to work as an agent in April 2017.

Nadzieja Rudzka

Nadzieja is our Head of Legal Department and takes care of all our contracts. She graduated in law from Warsaw University but her focus has always been on culture rather than the world of corporate law.  She has previously worked with artists and cultural organizations (public and private sector) on copyright and administrative issues. She joined AJA Warsaw in October 2015.

Anna Walczak

Anna is a graduate of Eastern Slavic Studies at Warsaw University (specializing in Russian, English, and Ukrainian translations). Eastern Slavic culture has always been a great passion of hers, and she has spent time travelling in Russia and Ukraine exploring these cultures. She enjoys biographies in particular, as well as narrative non-fiction. Anna joined the AJA team in March 2017.

Beata Glinska

After graduating with a degree in journalism from the Masurian University in Olsztyn, Beata joined the cultural festival circuit, bringing traditional Eastern European folk music and dance to events all around Poland. She went on to work for educational and cultural non-profit organisations, before joining the AJA team in June 2018. She’s an avid reader of everything from non-fiction to the latest bestsellers, but loves classic fantasy and Russian literature in particular.

Agnieszka Zawistowska

Agnieszka is a graduate of Warsaw University with a degree in English Philology, specializing in cognitive linguistics. In her spare time, she reads practically everything, but her true passion is fantasy and literature from the modernist period. She loves antique shops, old books and spending time in nature. Agnieszka joined AJA in September 2019 as an administrative specialist.

Adriana Mleczak

Adriana graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a degree in Polish literature and linguistics. She worked as a project manager and editorial secretary in Wydawnictwo Poznańskie Publishing House and Virtualo. Ada is a picky bookworm. She always has at least ten books on her currently-reading shelve and mostly prefers non-fiction and Scandinavian novels. After work, she looks for a balance on yoga mat. Ada joined AJA in March 2022 as an administrative specialist.
